The ES1242, Inovonics Wireless’ residential-grade smoke detector, features
the state-of-the-art EchoStream radio and the recognized advantages of the
industry-leading GE Interlogix CleanMeTM technology to provide an outstanding
wireless smoke detector. GE Interlogix CleanMe self diagnostics monitors
its own sensitivity and operational status. If the detector drifts out of desired
sensitivity range or fails internal diagnostics, it extinguishes its LED and sends
a “CleanMe” fault to the Inovonics Wireless receiver.
The Sensor includes built-in sounder for alarm alerts, a visual status LED and an EchoStream transmitter. The sensor works as part of a security/fire alarm system and communicates with the system control panel. Under normal (non-alarm) conditions, the LED flashes once every eight seconds while the sensor monitors the surrounding conditions. When the sensor detects smoke, the LED lights, the built-in sounder beeps loudly, and an alarm signal is transmitted.
The ES1242 includes two 3V lithium batteries providing up to five years of
operation. Featuring a low profile design, the ES1242 blends in with any
environment.
