- What Kind of Alarm System Do I have (for insurance purposes)?
Insurance companies usually want to know if the alarm is Nacoss or SSAIB installed.
Nacoss (NSI) or SSAIB refers to the installation, not the panel itself. If the company that installed the alarm are NSI or SSAIB (Nacoss no longer exists) approved, and installed it to the requirements of PD6662 Grade 2x, 2 or 3 then the alarm installation as a whole can rightly be referred to as an NSI or SSAIB approved installation. The Euro series of panels meet all the currently required UK standards, providing they have been installed correctly.
Gradings:
Euro Mini is suitable for Grade 2x installations
Euro 46 is suitable for Grade 2x, Grade 2 and Grade 3 installations
EURO-76 and above panels are suitable for Grade 2x, Grade 2 and Grade 3 installations
The Enforcer two-way wireless panel is suitable for Grade 2x and Grade 2 installations
