ACT iD TESTMETER.

Designed to Commission & Troubleshoot iD Systems, the new ACT iD Testmeter is designed to provide comprehensive diagnostic facilities for verifying the integrity of an iD system before commissioning, and for investigating faults.

The tests are performed by connecting the iD line directly to the test meter, which takes over control of the line. It can therefore be used with any iD system, regardless of the control panel to be used. The ACT iD meter has five operating modes:

Mode1: Biscuit State Display.
This indicates the status of ALL biscuits (including faults) connected to the line.

Mode2: Diagnostic Current Display.
This shows overall line and individual diagnostic iD biscuit current.

Mode3: Voltage Scan Display.
This allows voltage levels being used by the iD line to be independently verified.

Mode4: Transient Trap Screen.
This will latch transitional states if the status of any iD biscuit changes.

Mode5: iD Line Load Test.
This enables an artificial load to be placed on the iD line to identify 'rogue' biscuits.

TECHNICAL APPLICATIONS:* Verification of overall current drawn. * Identification of probable presence of leakage current in wiring. * Analysis of individual biscuits by diagnostic current. * Indication of severe overload not indicated as 'short'. * Simple 'walk test' of system and indication of transient fault conditions. * Identification of 'rogue' biscuit causing tamper problems.

The iD meter is available direct from ACT Meters Ltd.
